Ultra-Rare Iron Maiden Vinyl: No Prayer for the Dying (Zimbabwe Pressing)

Hello, collectors!

Up for auction is an ultra-rare Zimbabwe pressing of Iron Maiden’s No Prayer for the Dying. As seasoned collectors know, Zimbabwean pressings of Iron Maiden records rarely surface on the market. When they do, they’re often heavily played and in poor condition.

This copy, however, is a remarkable exception. I recently acquired it from a gentleman who had clearly cherished it—likely playing it once or twice before carefully storing it away.

  • Vinyl Condition:

    • Side 1: Perfect, with no visible flaws.
    • Side 2: A couple of ultra-light hairlines visible only when held under natural light at an angle.
    • The vinyl retains its glossy appearance, making it a stunning addition to any collection.

  • Sleeve Details:

    • The front sleeve features a name and date written on the metal plaque artwork.
    • The back sleeve has a small tear near the opening.
    • Typical of Zimbabwean pressings, the sleeve is made from recycled board, which is prone to wear. Despite this, it has been well-preserved.

  • Label Notes:

    • A name and date are written on both sides of the record labels, adding a touch of history to this rare piece.

This is by far the best Zimbabwe pressing of No Prayer for the Dying I’ve come across in my years of collecting and dealing in African vinyl. It’s an incredible opportunity to own a superb example of one of Iron Maiden’s most elusive records.
