Description
Here for sale is what is often referred to as 'the Holy Grail' for Iron Maiden fans.
The Soundhouse Tapes was the first disc that the band made in 1979. This is an original from the initial 5000 pressings. I bought this at a gig where Iron Maiden were playing in 1980 at a club called Romeo and Juliets in Bristol
The record has only been played a couple of times in 1980 on a hi-fi sansui record deck with a very lightweight pick-up. since 1980 it has been stored carefully in a chest along with my other singles.
I cannot see any discernible scratches on the record surface, it looks in very good condition. there is some surface dust present, but I daren't touch the playing surfaces, so I have left it rather than risk damaging it.
The cardboard sleeve is in very good condition, there is a slight crease at the top centre of the front cover, and the sleeve edges have slight white scuff marks, hardly noticeable really.
A great example of a true rarity.
