Description

There are two types of concertina featured on these 2 CDs auctioned as a pair: the old-style, full-sounding 2-row Anglo-German, and the more popular 3-row & + Anglo which makes available more sharps and flats for more complex tunes. And so, two styles of playing the concertina & tunes, the old and the newer, can be compared here.
A social history also, of life around Ardgroom Dance Hall from the 1940s narrated by Liam & Ella Mae O'Dwyer, and a track based on the London scene in the late 60s as recorded on cassettes many years ago. Liner/sleeve/album notes on the more recent CD (Beara 'Tina 2) are given orally to make for safer driving while listening, when wishing to check details behind each given track.
P & P:   UK & Worldwide €3.75;   Ireland €2.30.    PayPal only.
