ENGLANDS No.1 VOCAL GROUP

Information on "Introducing... The Beatles"     Welcome to my auction of an authentic STEREO VeeJay Introducing! One more time I come up with one of the rare originals - not a fake of this probably most counterfeited record in the world. While an authentic "Introducing" is rare in its own right, the STEREO Release of this 1964-VeeJay Publication is one of the most sought after Beatles records on the entire globe. Moreover, the rare disc comes in an even rarer sleeve, the authentic White-Background Ad-Sleeve! Despite of its age, cover doesn't show seam split! To get a glimpse of the value at auction here, one might check out NYC's "Fab4Collectibles" store - no chance to get this record somewhere below 1,200 Dollars (without the Ad-Sleeve!), if they carry ANY!     One word on confidence: The Record up to auction here is clearly a pearl - unless one doubts the seller's credibility. Purchases with "The Barber" are covered with $ 2,000 in buyer protection - as long as paid by PayPal. There's good reasons for that high protection, even if the Barber is not as long selling as others do: I'm not new to "The Beatles", and I successfully finished purchases with buyers from four(!) continents. Buyers, who are actually Co-Collectors, as probably you are, too, when reading this ad...     Vee-Jay's Introducing The Beatles. It seems almost every copy of this album that turns up is a fake, due to the fact that several different companies in the 60s and through the 70s manufactured an endless array of different counterfeit versions. Add those to the more than 30 different authentic versions that VJ managed to produce in 1963 and 1964, and you have quite a complicated situation for collectors and historians. More variations of this album exist than perhaps any record every issued by any artist. It is the most frequently asked about LP on the internet, and probably causes the most confusion for collectors of any Beatles album ever released. Some of these fakes are remarkably close to the originals, with the quality of some covers even equaling or exceeding that of originals, making them a little harder to authenticate. However, now one can imagine why one of the rare originals trade for a couple of hundreds bucks... Except in 1963 and 1964, this record wasn't pressed anymore (only fakes!), NO re-issues! only TWO releases VeeJay, VJLP 1062 (mono), United States; July 22, 1963 (Version 1) 1st press [GOTO LISTING] VeeJay, SR 1062 (STEREO), United States; January 27, 1964 (Version 2) 1st press ««««« VeeJay, VJLP 1062 (mono), United States; January 27, 1964 1st press [GOTO LISTING]     So much about history - for the record in question, please see my comments below... Wanna know all the dates and numbers and covers and labels? 1st BEATLES WORLDWIDE Anthology Volume 1 - Albums
Volume 2 - Singles & EPs [GOTO LISTING] listing QUICK access    What you're bidding on Record Data in Detail Photos & Pictures Tracklist Shipping & Handling & Payment Details on Beatles Releases/Numbers & Stampers/Dates upon request at MAIL@BEATLES-COMPLETE.COM And here is what you'll get...

You are bidding on a copy of Beatles'  "Introducing... The Beatles - ENGLANDS No.1 VOCAL GROUP" album, issued  by  the tiny American Label VeeJay on January 27, 1964. It is the STEREO Release. This record comes in an allover very good shape.

This copy is one of the ultra-rare ORIGINAL records from 1964, NOT A FAKE. I know, we read this pretty often, and I myself sold a couple "Introducings" that were fakes, and I named it in the title. However, this one is an original. In the list below, I'll outline some of the characteristics one needs to know to tell the original from a fake. If you have further questions, please sent an eMail... By the way: This is the version Ask Me Why / Please Please Me, the latter one with a comma.

  • Vinyl: (Inner Grooves) almost most importantly, BOTH inner grooves show the MR stamp (surrounded by a circle), determining pressing plant "Monarch Record Mfg. Co., California", as well as an italic quality "URT" stamper
  • Vinyl: trail-off -the gap between the end of the last track and the edge of the label usually measures under 1"
  • Cover: smooth shadow on George's right, slightly "pinking"
  • Cover: Overlapping White band on upper rim of cover's reverside side, hiding about an 1/3" of the brown cover-color (this is because "STEREOPHONIC" was added to the top afterward, also the reason for Paul's missing knee on STEREO front covers)
  • Cover: Paul's left thumb fully visible
  • Cover: reverse clean paste over
  • semi-gloss rainbow/colorband labels
  • Labels have bright, sharp silver print
  • Label: the word STEREO on both Labels - until today (!), there's never been found a counterfeit with the word "STEREO" printed on the label
  • Label: "THE BEATLES" above spindle hole, right below title
  • Label: VJ-Bracket logo, with left bracket ending between "D" and "U" of "INTRODUCING" (valid version of STEREO Bracket Logo)
  • Label: colorful rainbow band, WITH green
  • there's more details, the rest upon request

To, again, making clear, that the record in question is an authentic Introducing, and to get a glimpse of complications related to grading an "Introducing" album, I highly recommend this professional connaisseur site, where I took the introduction from. Have a glance, and don't let your mouth drop open!

Since this record is, fortunately, as old as it is supposed to be when "born" in early 64, there's s certainly some noises, which a fake maybe wouldn't come up with. Anyway, not disturbing, just frequently played. It runs ABSOLUTELY smooth, there's no skips, or repeats, record is playing thru fine! The numerous visual flaws (hairlines, and stuff) are NOT affecting the sound in any way. - As for the Cover, it appears to be in VG condition, showing no seam split. The title has ink, also some songs on tracklist are "inked" - see photos. The rare ad-sleeve is in VG condition, too, almost unbelievable for a fourty-plus-years old piece of thin paper. - Labels are clearly in an EX- condition. - STEREO channel distinction and fading is awesome!

If you're serious about "scanning for" Beatles collectibles, this nice item is kind of "must-have" (unless you already own that record).

As usual at my auctions, please refer to photos below. I always spend plenty of time on visual documentation to give you guys a real chance to "take justice". I MUST NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPE OF (SO-CALLED) "MISUNDERSTANDINGS" - SO PLEASE STUDY BOTH DESCRITPION   A N D   ALL PHOTOS CAREFULLY, B E F O R E   YOU DECIDE TO BID!!!

    Any question?
Do not hesitate to CONTACT ME, for question should be asked BEFORE an auction's end. Just mail me, I think to be pretty flexible...

Yes, my PayPal account is VERIFIED.

Payment
How to pay, which currencies to use, what to deduct, to combine, and so on, is perfectly explained in our payment tables, attached to every item description.

However, life is what happens when you're busy making other plans: If you run into a paying-problem after end of auction, please do contact us, do it prior to any action performed by eBay. We always try (and often did) our best to find a suitable solution. Feedback scores on eBay means important reputation, in fact: it's a credit file. Do not ruin your file by hesitating to get in touch with us.

Thank you.

Shipping
Shipping costs posted in our ads include NO INSURANCE. If you'd like to have your item shipped insured, or if you prefer a different shipping service/carrier, please request related charges prior to end of auction. Basically, you should allow a response time of 24 hours.
We offer combined shipping as well as certain discounts on lots and bundles. Please see item description or send an eMail for details.

Please note that we DO NOT ship to US-Embargo-Zones (such as Cuba), to Nigeria, or Sierra Leone.
We reserve the right, too, to refuse shipping to war- or crisis areas.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SHIPPING TIME
As soon as we drop an LP mailer at the mail office's desk, it is somewhat unpredictable how long the rest of the process will take (and totally out of our hands). Experience so far shows: same delivery took 3 days to Tokyo, seven to NYC, almost three weeks to the Philippines or MidWest United States. Even inside Germany shipping times range from one day to an entire week.
Thus: Beside a handling time of up to three business days, allow one to three weeks shipping.
Please keep all those facts in mind when finally grading our seller-skills.

Terms of Sale
We basically welcome every honest bidder, no matter what high or low her or his current feedback is.

However, there's exceptions to every rule, as they are:
  • your member account shows an unpaid item strike during the last 90 days
  • your member account has one or more bid retractions on file (mutually withdrawn ratings NOT included)
  • you were sending unsolicited mails prior to a current auction
  • you keep your feedback score private (transparency and reputation on eBay is a MUST)
If one of the above mentioned is applicable to your eBay membership, you definitely should contact us prior to bidding, for your bid otherwise is being canceled immediately.
Note: Only items listed and photographed are included in the auction. We make every attempt to accurately describe the items being sold. Since all of our auctions are considered personal sales, we DO NOT offer REFUNDS or RETURNS.
Any item on auction (bidding or fixed price) or offered in eBay Shop is S O L D A S I S.
We will not be held responsible for damages caused by transportation for items that were shipped without insurance, since Insurance is always available upon request.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON RARITIES
Records, Collectibles - regarding The Beatles in particular - is a "science" - that a fact every collector will agree with. While every individual might or might not have her or his special field of interest (and knowledge), opinions, evaluations, pricing, grading, and so on, very often strongly differ. If we encounter a record listed by us on eBay (as an auction, fixed price, or store item) being a "fake" - thus: a bootleg, reprint, or any type of "non-original" -, we will include this in our description. In fact, we already did this, for instance, regarding that legendary VeeJay-Introducing.
However, if we do NOT mention a record being a fake, we're convinced of its status as an original.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, THEN DO NOT BID ON THE RECORD, OR BUY IT.
Once you placed a bid and/or buy an item, you DO AGREE with our point of view, no matter whether or not you change your mind afterward. Nobody in the collector's world is forced to adhere to an other person's consideration(s). In case of doubts, just contact us prior to auction end to give your "approach" a chance of evaluation.

Thanks for your time.

About Us
We are a German/American couple collecting Beatles records since 1979. As an admirer of rare items, we particularly feel attracted to stuff that is "somewhat" related to the world's greatest band: The Beatles.

We already sold to customers around the globe, satisfied buyers from, for instance, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, the Philippines, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, or Germany.

Contact Us
Beside the fact that we always try to describe our items as accurately as we can, providing comprehensive visual documentation as well as plenty of additional information (such as release tables and history), questions and inquiries on items at auction are certainly always welcome.

However, as late experiences have taught us, there are also lots of "spammers" on the way, blocking our bidder's contact account by repeatedly sending unsolicited mail, thus wasting precious time to be better spent on honestly interested buyers' requests.
We no longer respond to "fake mails", but immediately exclude the sender from any of our auctions. If you feel to have been excluded in error, please contact us immediately, subjecting "exclusion".
