Description
Artist: THE BEATLES
Title: “Introducing The Beatles”
Label: VEE JAY ~ VJLP 1062. Mono pressing on medium weight vinyl with. Label is flat black with silver text. Logo on label is “V J” in simple block letters.
Year: 1964.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is NM- with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times (likely one or two times) and handled with care. There are a couple slight spindle trail marks on the label but the playing surfaces are pristine with no scuffs, marks, or issues. You will almost NEVER see one this nice. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean with no stickers, writing, or other issues. This essential LP will be a significant upgrade for most collectors and is certain to please.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG to VG+ with obvious signs of wear and handling, but still quite presentable. Front panel has the very rare and desirable “hype” sticker with hit song titles. Jacket shows a bit of light ring wear at top and bottom. on front cover. Reverse has light ring wear, and staining along the bottom. Top seam and spine are nice. Bottom seam has approx 2” splitting at opening edge; center has approx 4” splitting.

“The first Beatles album released in the U.S., Introducing...The Beatles is a slightly abridged version of Please Please Me, which had been released in the U.K. four months earlier. It includes two fewer tracks than its British counterpart, deleting "Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why." Today, of course, there's no reason to prefer it to Please Please Me, which was released in the U.S. in 1987, but from 1963 to 1965, when Capitol Records belatedly released the material on The Early Beatles, this (plus some inferior Vee Jay repackagings) was the only American album containing some of the Beatles' initial recordings.”
