MEGA RARE COLLECTION OF INDUSTRIAL / CORPORATE SALES CONFERENCE MUSICAL SHOWS (see photos for complete playlists) : Industrial musicals were Broadway-style shows that were created for corporate sales meetings and conventions from the 1950's to the 1980's. They were written and performed for employees and were not intended for the general public. Consequently these recorded examples are hard to find and usually very rare.  As in some of these LP's, productions could include big budgets with famous writers, directors and stars. 
1) BATHTUBS OVER BROADWAY (2014) (Mondo Records - MOND-164) (2 LP SET - 1 RED & 1 BLUE vinyl disc- gatefold cover) (INCLUDES 12 -Page Booklet) This 2-LP set is the soundtrack recording of the documentary film of several industrial show tunes and a original score (see photo of playlist) created specifically for this film from composer Anthony DiLorenzo. Produced by David Letterman and several others (see back cover photo for more details). Directed by Dave Whisenant. STARRING: Steve Young, who was a writer for the Late Show with David Letterman. While producing a segment that featured odd and unusual recordings, Steve discovered these rare Industrial Musical albums. This film is a result of his research and work from the TV show. CONDITION: Vinyl & Booklet = Excellent+. Cover = Veery Good++ (some creasing on front cover). ALSO includes program & ticket from "Industrial Strength Broadway" (McCallum Theatre, Palm Springs, CA - February 8, 2024). A stage adaptation of the above "Bathtubs Over Broadway" documentary. This production also stars Steve Young. 
2) MUSIC TO DISPENSE WITH BY ALLAN SHERMAN (1966) (Scott Paper Company - SP-12) (Mega RARE) The music for the container Division of Scott Paper Company was created by the popular 1960's comedian/songwriter, Allan Sherman (My Son The Folk Singer, My Son The Celebrity, My Son The Nut, Etc, etc.). A series of 6 witty songs that pokes fun at the refreshment industry. VERY FUNNY!! Only one sided. Side two is blank. CONDITION: Vinyl = Very Good. Cover = Very Good+ (partially still shrink-wrapped). 
3) MELODIES FROM TUPPERWARE'S: STAR SPANGLED JUBILEE '76 (1976) (Tulp-7621) This album features 20 songs that part of Tupperware's 1976 salesman's corporate meeting to celebrate the USA Bi-centennial. CONDITION: Vinyl = Excellent. Cover = Very Good+ (some tape marks - see photos). 
4) THIS IS OLDSmobility (1958) ( Hudson - no number listed) ( Red Vinyl) (NOTE: the front cover says: "not for public performance broadcast on radio or television or for commercial use") This album is a musical production of Oldsmobile's 1958 Dealer Announcement Show. Produced by D.P. Brother 7 company. Vocal arrangements and direction by Don Craig. Conducted by Sherman Frank. CAST: Bill Hayes and Florence Henderson. CONDITION: Vinyl & Cover = Very Good+. 
5) GO FLY A KITE (1966) ( No number listed - Back cover reads: Souvenir Record. this record is intended for private useably. It may not be sold or publicly performed any way.) Recording from General Electric Company's fifth electric utility executive conference - Williamsburg, Virginia - September 19-21, 1966.  Original music by John Kander & Walter Marks. Lyrics by Fred Ebb, Walter Marks.Directed and Choreographed by George & Ethel Martin. CAST: Henry Hamilton, Valerie Harper, Nancy Haywood, Joanna Lester, Dean Stolber, Ted Thurston, Joel Garfield, Mary Louise Wilson, Carole Woodruff. CONDITION: Vinyl = Excellent. Cover = Very Good+.

LP's come boxed carefully in corrugated boxes made specifically for LP's, with filler pads and bubble wrap on both sides to protect the cover. LP's are housed in clear plastic LP sleeves. The LP is removed from the cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting unless when purchasing a sealed LP or when specified otherwise. Tracking numbers will be provided on all purchases.
