In the last few years I have only come across a two copies of this great Indian Summer album which in my opinion is the pinnacle of musicianship in the early seventies.  Just listen to "Emotions of Men" or "Black Sunshine". I always found that Indian Summer sounded a lot like Uriah Heep or Deep Purple. NO skips or jumps. The NEON progressive label is nearly impossible to find these days and any band on this label is highly regarded. This is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss.  Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great prog collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. Of course there are NO skips, jumps or sticks.  Great but often obtuse existential songcraft and it is strange that Indian Summer did not make the big league!! This is as good if not better than Sabbath, Heep or Yes!!  I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!

Vinyl: VG++ to EX . Absolutely great example of this extremely scarce albumy glossy vinyl that has no problems. Sometimes a very light static which is hardly audible because of the powerful music. This is a heavy slab of beautiful glossy vinyl!!! A couple of light hairlines on side 2 which are not audible. Under a strong light the microscopic retraction type lines that every vinyl has unless it is unplayed. Indian summer first got rejected in favour of Black Sabbath who got the Vertigo recording contract. They were handled by Jim Simpson. One and a half year later the Coventry based group they got their break in early 1971.

Gatefold sleeve: VG+. E.J. Day Group  sleeve. Matt and prone to wear as the early vertigo gatefolds. Rarely seen like this!!!! NO CREASES, NO WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS!! Very nice and straight opening. Some corner wear esp. on the bottom spine corner, the edges are straight, there is minor edge wear. Light ringwear to the back sleeve near the top.The inside gatefold band picture is fantastic with just a light indented name "Maggie" to the top right in light pencil. Light ringwear to the back. The spine is  legible.A great iconic sleeve of the period when music was still real, imaginative and magical!!

The original black  inner die-cut sleeve ("Patent" and "Made in Great Britain" in whitw print) is still present and in VG++ condition with NO splits and ring creasing.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX CONDITION!!!

Labels are NM with only minor spindling.
