Description
This is the original, EXTREMELY RARE 1970 UK original pressing of the 1st Slade single on the Polydor label "Know Who You Are" - B Side is "Dapple Rose"
"Know Who You Are" is the vocal version of the group's first Fontana single "Genesis" released under the band name Ambrose Slade - see my other ebay auction for the incredibly rare demo version of this
This record is on the Polydor record label, number 2058 054 and comes complete with the original red Polydor sleeve

The condition of the vinyl is Very Good: much of the original vinyl sheen has been retained and the appearance of both sides of the record borders on excellent; there are thin, surface only spindly hairlines, however, but absolutely nothing deep rooted. The quality of the audio is Very Good. There are a few background clicks but no loud "pops", skips, or jumps and the level of crackle is minimal on side 1 but a little more in evidence on side 2. None of this significantly detracts from the listening experience of what are undoubtedly two superb, classic tracks. The record labels are both VERY GOOD - EXCELLENT with only a few very minor blemishes and certainly nothing to detract from the overall vintage feel of what is both a classic and hugely collectable record. The original Polydor red sleeve with white lettering and black banding and logo is in Very Good condition - not perfect, however, since there is some mild creasing in evidence and some writing in biro "W3 50p" on one side.
This is a true piece of very ,very rare pop and rock history that will only increase in value and that would enhance any serious collector's collection! If you are a Slade / Amrose Slade collector then this is a must for you - one of their earliest and rarest singles in overall very good condition that is simply virtually impossible to find these days.

Excellent Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.Fair
Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
