Description
Here's an original Vee Jay maroon label 1959 pressing of "I'm John Lee Hooker. I pretty sure this is his first album. Hooker recorded singles for Modern in the late 40's early 50's and as John Lee Booker for Chance and as Johnny Lee for DeLuxe. A lengendary blues artist born to a sharecropper in Mississippi.
The thick vinyl is near mint and looks to have been played carefully only a few times. There are no needle marks!
The Album cover on the other hand has a top and bottom split and a name on the back (see photo). The split can be mended and re-glued since it was never taped. Don't miss out on this rare original first press.
