Description

Black label with silver text, trumpet player logo, deep groove.  Leader, Illinois Jacquet, tenor sax; Harry "Sweets" Edison, trumpet; Gerald Wiggins, organ; Carl Perkins, piano; Irving Ashby, guitar; Curtis Counce, bass; Al Bartee, drums.  Recorded in 1955.  8 tracks. David Stone Martin cover art. Name sticker from the former owner on 1 record label.

Cover:  VG+  Clean and intact.  Light aging on the front and back cover.  Moderately heavy cardboard jacket.

Record:  VG+ to VG++   Visually shows no wear.  There are 3 or 4 faint surface rub marks on Side A, none on Side B.  Side A, Track 1, 2  clicks on the first 1 or 2 revolutions followed by several light clicks through part of the guitar solo  and less on the following trumpet solo.  On Track 2, several faint, light clicks on the first 1/2 of the Track.  On Track 3, a small number of faint clicks, barely audible . On Track 4 some light crackling through most of the Track. On Side B, Track 1, a few isolated, light clicks, barely audible.  On Track 3, 2 or 3 faint clicks on the first few revolutions, barely audible and an occasional light click on the balance of the Track. Similar light noise on part of Track 4, however, most of the Track has no noise.  All noise described is very light but audible.  Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
