Description
THE ULTIMATE IDLEWILD COLLECTABLE!
This is the bands debut self financed 7" single "Queen of the Troubled Teens". There were only 750 copies of this record ever made, and you are bidding for one. And it's SIGNED by the entire band (and Roddys sister, who is the girl on the front cover - I didn't really want her to sign it, but she was standing with the band, and Roddy insisted that she signed it). "Mad" Bob, the bands bass player at the time has written "Not worth £45, eh?" based on the value of the record at the time I got it signed. he then proceeded to slop beer all over his hand and completely smudged the message (duh).
Record has three songs; "Queen of the Trouble Teens", and "Faster", neither of which were released on any other record, and a slightly slowed, down more raw sounding version of "Captain"s opening track "Self Healer". Sleeve has a light crease on top right corner, but that one of the perils of taking a record to a gig (The Astoria Brat show in 1998(?)) to get it signed! Otherwise record and sleeve are in superb condition
I feel like I'm selling a part of life away by getting rid of this record, but I'm sure it will find a good home... check out my other Idlewild auctions too!
