You are bidding on a original US pressing copy of the Ian Hunter - Live / Welcome to the Club double LP released by Chrysalis Records in 1980. This is CH2 1269. This record came out of the collection of a central Texas music fan, known to many musicians/fellow music lovers, who tragically lost his life late last year. He frequently attended concerts and shows here in central Texas and elsewhere. He enjoyed meeting musicians and liked to get their autographs, such as this record. It has been signed by Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson! The signatures can be found on the back of the jacket (see picture) and have been signed in black pen. The records are in VG+ condition. The record labels are in NM condition. The gatefold record jacket is in VG condition with some shelfwear, ringwear, and edgewear. Also included with this auction is a flyer we found inside the jacket for the Ian Hunter / Mick Ronson Band live at Club Curfew here in Austin on December 6th. The flyer is in VG+ condition. Special shipping notice: As of July 28th, 2013, we are no longer offering shipping to Italy due to continued problems with packages getting to their proper destination in a timely basis (if at all!). We are sorry we have to do this, but unfortunately we have seen a recent spike in the amount of packages being shipped to Italy that have either gone missing entirely or have taken excessively long to reach their destination.
We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:
Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!
Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.
Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.
Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches. generally still a great playing copy. jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.
Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.
Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches. jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
