Description
This is an incredibly rare and desirable item for any Ian Hunter/Mott The Hoople fan! It is an original acetate reference disc for Ian's second solo album, All-American Alien Boy, released on Columbia Records in 1976.
The lacquer was cut at Sterling Sound Mastering Lab on February 24th, 1976, most likely by Greg Calbi.
The sleeve is remarkably intact and clean (especially for plain white), with no split seams or bends. The corners are sharp. There are small tears in the paper liner.
The disc shows signs of use, including scuffs and hairlines which are the result of it's use as a reference copy for approval by the artist/management/label.

Most interestingly, the hand-typed labels bear provisional or incorrect titles for the tracks. "Letter To Britannia From The Union Jack" becomes "To Rule Britannia From The Union Jack." "You Nearly Did Me In" is listed as "Weary Anger." The title cut is misspelled!
