Luisen revisits one of the most enduring anthems of Spanish synthpop with a respectful new remix of Ivan's classic 'Fotonovela'. Instead of reinventing the piece, he works directly from the original stems - preserving its neon-soaked melodies and romantic vocal while subtly enhancing the framework with crisp new drum programming with synth flourishes and light tempo corrections. The result feels truer to the source than most modern updates and keeps the spirit intact while sharpening it for contemporary systems. Alongside the vocal and instrumental, the set also includes 'Fotonovela (Chapter II)', a stripped-back reinterpretation that teases out the track's cinematic qualities.
