About the album
It's a Beautiful Day is the self-titled debut album by San Franciscopsychedelic band It's a Beautiful Day. This album's song "White Bird"was the band's biggest hit. A substantial part of the themes and arrangement ofthe song "Bombay Calling" was used by Deep Purple as the basis fortheir song "Child in Time". The album rose to #47 on Billboard's TopLPs American albums chart.
The group'ssignature song "White Bird" was inspired by the experiences David andLinda LaFlamme had while living in Seattle, Washington. For a few weeks inDecember 1967 the group members lived in the attic of an old house whileplaying and rehearsing at Seattle's Encore Ballroom. In an ironic twist on theband's name, the song was partly inspired by Seattle's rainy winter weather.
Subjective
This press is in excellent condition, it is a beautifullooking record and retains all of its deep mirror-like lustre and shine and hasno apparent groove-wear.
Playing
I recently played it again, the tracks Ilistened to played through lovely. Idon’t think it has any significant hissing, jumps, skips, between track crackleand nasty loud pops.
History
It has been in my collection since new andonly played a few times on a quality turntable.

Definitions
Near Mint Condition
Verynearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleevescuffs that can only be seen under strong light. Some would class this as mint. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect- very minimal wear only.
Excellent Condition
Aclean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two lightneedle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under stronglight. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with nodistortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ring wearor edge wear.
