IT BECAME CRYSTAL - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by COMPLESSO BLUE SHARKS / music written by CARUCCI and ICPRESS aka STELVIO CIPRIANI (?) Original Italian pressing on the LEONARDI label (SL 27), from circa early '70s. Super-obscure session by this mysterious studio group. Another superb Library, even funkier than their Itinerario Beat Lp on Metropole label. More groovy small group sounds, downtempo and mellow or progressive and funky with hippie rock and baroque influences. The psychedelic hammond / harpsichord and piano on this recording has that same haunting UK prog sound of Itinerario Beat too. Lots of stylish guitars a la Alessandroni with beats / breaks / hip hop drums / loops and samples. Includes HANDY GOES TO THE PUB comped on Suono Libero Vol. 2 but other themes are even better. The A "WATT" TOO MUCH is close to the hotter-than-hot sound of Remigio Ducros with smashing drums and aggressive funk rhythms. Great for DJs. Soul, rock and bossa mixed up on THE BISHOP'S HOUSE / strange pop groove on A SORT OF WITCHERY etc. Our soundclip opens with the cool fuzz and beats of WAITING TO BLOW. Mood music for an unknown Italian soundtrack / TV or radio programme. Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare Library Lp!!! Full track listing: THE BISHOP'S HOUSE / WAITING TO BLOW / THE NEWCOMER / A CHARMING HYPOTHESIS / HANDY GOES TO PUB / CLUMPSY CHAP / IN A CLASSICAL MOOD / A BAROQUE JOKE / THE HUNTER / IT BECAME CRYSTAL / A SORT OF WITCHERY / A "WATT" TOO MUCH
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is in strong VG+ condition with light scuffs and hairlines. Light surface noises. A few audible distortions to finale of "A Watt Too Much" due to a small white pressing mark in the vinyl. The laminated front sleeve is in VG+ condition with general wear from storage. Visible ring dirt marks (front and back) / corner and edge wear. Small amount of laminate peeling / old sticker mark to left of "It" on front sleeve. No spine or seam splits. Camera flash glare to sleeve photo and labels. Very rare Library Lp!!!
