Description
This is an original early thick heavy vinyl lp made in Greece on HIS MASTERS VOICE #GCLP-12. It features the music and songs from the film THE ISLAND OF APHRODITE, by MIKIS THEODORAKIS. There are 12 tracks see back cover close up for titles. stamped in the lp's trail off is ZXGA-528, other side 577. This is a beautifully pressed and wonderfully recorded high quality lp. The cover has attractive blue and green artwork and graphics on front, half the notes and song titles etc, on back are in english. there are 2 photos on back as well. Some of the notes say that: Mikis Theodorakis visited Cypress for the first time early in 1964. it was during that visit that he agreed to write the music for a film on Cypress, the title was Island of Aphrodite. There were some problems with the filming that they mention on back cover. It gives me pleasure to make a rare soundtrack lp like this available. Even harder is to unearth one of these gems in such stunning condition. The lp is prisitine, labels are very clean with NO spindle marks, stains, wear, etc. Playing surfaces have a like new deep glossy shine that looks never played. Cover has light wear, very slight browning, a few wrinkles, and one pushed in corner. Seams and spine are strong with no splitting or wear, also NO ring wear on front artwork, and NO cut outs, stickers, writing, etc. I have had this lp in my collection for years never wanting to part with it. However I recently decided to make it available and pass it on to a soundtrack collector, collecting the rarest lps in the best CONDITION: COVER VG++ / LP NM+ .
