Turning the clock back to the year 1982, it's Iron Maiden's first release with powerhouse lead singer Bruce Dickinson, and 'The Number of the Beast', on a limited edition picture disc!
The band had already made a name for themselves at this point, but with the release of this mega-million selling classic, Iron Maiden achieved world-wide superstar status! (Over 14 million copies sold worldwide!) Suddenly, Maiden became MTV darlings, as they offered a different kind of pop music. Pop, as it was popular and got played on rock radio. But NOTHING like most other pop bands in the early 80s!
This is the original, first press release, as far as I can tell. It's definitely not one of the gatefold sleeve re-releases from a few years back. Those are awesome, but reissues. This comes from 1982, and is a rare Maiden collectible to own! The vinyl looks really good, with only a few very light surface marks that are hardly noticeable. Nothing too bad. It will come with a plain, generic sleeve. The original sleeve has been forever lost in the sands of time....Lol Grab this Maiden collectible, while you still can, and at a really nice price!!
