IRON BUTTERFLY: RARE 4-SONG Original PROMO (Radio DJ) 45 RPM Record for their first album Release "Heavy":
I'm the original owner of this rare item. Got it new while when it first came out, while working at a radio station. This 7" 45 has been in dry, indoor storage since new, and is a genuinely rare promo record today.
The record is ATCO Records # EP-C-4524-A and EP-C-4524-B. It was released in advance of the first Iron Butterfly album "Heavy" (the one with a cover that looks like the sleeve of this 45). The songs on this promo EP are:
- Iron Butterfly Theme
- Possession
- Get Out of My Life, Woman
- Unconscious Power
As with most of my records, I played these only once or twice, and then they were left at home, as I was away at college. Never got back to being home again or playing them, so the record is still in excellent overall condition - that's why it's called "almost-unplayed".
