I was very hesitant about listing this Lp as there are thousands of counterfit versions of this Lp in existance, So I contacted Frank Daniels thru his web site ( http://www.friktech.com/btls/bc2.htm )and these are copies of my e-mail correspondence with him;
Frank Daniels is Co-Author (with Perry Cox & Bruce Spizer) of the "Price Guide for Beatles American Records" Published by Four Ninety-Eight Productions July 2007,

Julieanne:
Yes, that LP is as genuine as can be. The notation MR indicates that it was pressed by Monarch Records in Los Angeles. They pressed records for Vee Jay on the West Coast of the USA. Frank

???Condition
vinyl: VG to VG+ there are some hairline scratches and scuffs on both sides, there is one heavier scratch on side 2 starting in the middle of There's a Place and continuing on to the middle of Twist and Shout. This scratch only produces a few ramdom pops, and clicks.
labels: no writing, stickers or discernable wear, vibrant colour band nice smooth transition in the colours, VJ Brackets Logo with Introducing the Beatles & The Beatles above the spindle hole, there are a few lite spindle marks around the hole.
jacket:?VG to VG+ lite to moderate ringwear on the front and surface wear on the front and back,, the spine is near perfect as you can see in the above photos the writing is very readable, the bottom edge has some lite wear, and the top is in very nice condition until you get to the top left corner where there is considerable wear almost to the point of splitting(see photos #2 & 3 above), and the 1/4" fold over flaps are visible in photo's # 1 & 2 above, lite permiter creases from handling and a heavier crease near opening to the right of Georges face, It should be visible in the last photo.
inserts/sleeves: Origional VEE JAY sleeve, a 2-3" split on one side at the top, and 3-4" splits on the sides in the middle,and 4 -5 " split on the bottom middle.?
play grade: Plays VG++ Nice full bodied Stereo sound, some minor surface noise, and the above mentioned pops and clicks May clear up with a good cleaning.
Play Graded on a Dual 1209 with a Micro Acoustics 530 Mp cartridge.
Another one of those Lp's that plays much better than it looks.This is Not an Audiophile collectors copy, but you'll spend half a lifetime finding a better one. It took me almost 40 years to find this one.
meaning to actually hold in my hands.
Available ONLY to USA Bidders, so don't worry about being out bid by foreign Bidders.
I will Not end this auction early to outside offers, I'm starting this at my usual $11.99 price and you the E-Bay consumer will dictate the final price
JUST CLEAN YOUR PREFERRED METHOD
(I do not clean records prior to listing, as some people prefer to clean with their own method, being that I buy Lots of records there isn't enough time in the day for me to clean & listen to everyone, so you might find finger prints, dust and other assorted things, that should clean off easily, one of these days when I sell a record for $1000 I promise to buy a VPI record cleaning system)
