Description

WOW!! This is a GORGEOUS GENUINE copy of the most counterfeited record in the world, amazingly still in its original shrink wrap and with the rare black label variant!! For every genuine copy, there are probably at least 10,000 fakes so a little knowledge goes a long way when identifying a real copy. I have scrutinized this and it passes every single test with flying colors which I will detail below.

Variant info:

There are many known variants of this record...apart from being a rare no bracket logo black label with the SIDE text capital letter, the sleeve (still in its original shrink wrap with original price sticker still on) is the rarer “comma” sleeve error on PLEASE, PLEASE ME and a small number 2 to the right of the word Records on the rear!!

Matrix/Runout Info:

SIDE 1: 63-3402 (Triangle) 6307

SIDE 2: 63-3403 (Triangle ) 6307X

Sleeve: EX

Amazingly still in original shrink wrap with price sticker still affixed!! ($2.57)!!!! The shrinkwrap has done an incredible job at protecting this sleeve which is by far the nicest I’ve ever personally handled. Sharp, crisp corners and no unwanted writing or marks anywhere. There is light ringwear on the SHRINK ONLY!! Beneath the shrink this cardboard sleeve is in unbelievable shape!! There is about a 6” diameter circle piece of shrink missing from the rear.

Disc: VG (Conservative visual grading)

(VG+ audio grading)

Beautiful glossy sheen. Several hairlines and sleeve removal traces....handful of light scratches but nothing major. One barely feelable 2 1/2” scratch on Side 2 causes a few light pops that aren’t intrusive to the overall sound which sounds great!! Due to the thickness of the vinyl and the deep grooves, these always play much better than they look. I have play tested it myself and I would grade the sound as VG+. There are no skips, stalls or jumps. There are some light crackle and pops but these discs are normally played to death and still sound wonderful but this is not one of them. Doesn’t appear to have been played very often and was well taken care of.

Labels: VG+ to EX-

These are among the rarest of all the label variants...the non bracket black labels with only a few spindle trails and a couple of very tiny scratches upon close examination.

If you’re a Beatles fan, this is a must have record! Again, it is a GENUINE copy 100% with a full money back guarantee. Here’s some info on how to spot a fake:

I have handled many copies both real and counterfeit and know how to spot a fake with ease. This copy passes all genuine “tests” on both sleeve and disc. George’s shadow is clearly visible, passes the “Honey Test” with flying colors and most importantly, the 1/4” inside flap is exactly as should be which no counterfeit possesses. Genuine copies have 1/4” on the rear inside flap inside the sleeve which attaches the front of the sleeve. This is never found on counterfeits. There is very light wear on the shrink wrap which has done an incredible job of protecting the sleeve beneath. This is without a doubt the nicest sleeve I have ever seen! Very little to no unwanted marks and NO writing on front or rear which are typically very common flaws with these genuine sleeves. Fully legible spine “Vee Jay Introducing The Beatles Vee Jay LP1062 fully readable with no wear.

The labels contain the name The Beatles ABOVE the spindle hole- nearly all counterfeit copies have The Beatles below the spindle hole. Bright silver text print on the labels.
