Description

Scarce and excellent album of vocal jazz featuring MILLI VERNON entitled “Introducing Milli Vernon” on the STORYVILLE label, from 1956. 

 

This is an original pressing, red label with black print, has deep groove.  This is a monaural pressing, catalog number is STLP 910.

 

Personnel on this session are as follows:  RUBY BRAFF – trumpet; DAVE McKENNA – piano; JIMMY RANEY – guitar; WYATT REUTHER – bass; and JO JONES – drums.   

 

This album came from a large estate collection of jazz and classical albums where the original owner was a photographer for the Smithsonian for many years.

Condition of the jacket is nice VG+.  There are some minor wear spots on the cover and reverse, slight bumps at corners, a very small amount of cracking on a small portion of the spine, otherwise excellent with no writing or splits.  Overall a fine jacket you will be proud to display.

 

Condition of vinyl is VG++, plays beautifully.  The owner of this collection maintained all of his albums in pristine condition, and it appears most, including this one, were played one or two times at most.  I am certain the winning bidder will be very pleased.
