INTERSYSTEMS “Peachy” Original 1967 Canadian Electronic Spoken Word Psych!

1967/Canada/Pentagon Records ALS 142….here’s an original pressing of this rare Canadian experimental record full of ping pong stereo effects, panning, tape loops, noises etc. The cover is solid with light shelf wear, light corner wear, back cover has staining/aging and a few light creases in the cover slick, otherwise it’s fine with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in poor condition with multiple light scuffs, wear, scratches, marks and one ¼” scratch I can feel and it does produce a pop as it pases. The record plays through with light noise/crackle and some ticks/pops. There are no skips, sticks or jumps and I have played both sides a couple of times. The crackle almost fits with the totally gonzo tracks. A very rare lp here and I normally don’t sell a record this beat up but it plays through ok and it’s very rare rare as you know! This recording is one of the corner-stones of experimental (and electronic) music in Canada during the sixties. Intersystems includes the word plays of poet Blake Parker and the electronic machinery of John Mills-Cockell. Wildly panning electronic bleeps and spatial effects provide background for brief spoken vignettes of supremely hilarious/post-apocalyptic vision and lysergic consequence.

GRADING

MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
