INDIAN SUMMER - ORIGINAL 1971 EARLIEST UK 1ST PRESSING - RCA NEON NE 3 RECORDS LABEL -  EX   ULTRA RARE THIS RECORD IS FANTASTIC & ULTRA RARE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!  I HAVE PLAYED THE ALBUM IN FULL AND THE SOUND QUALITY I ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!! A TRUE GEM WITH SOME UNBELIEVABLE GUITAR LICKS, INDIAN SUMMER SHOULD HAVE BEEN AS COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL AS DEEP PURPLE  ... OOH, THE INJUSTICE ....  AND ULTRA RARE!!! THIS ALBUM BARELY SOLD 2000 COPIES, HOW MANY WOULD HAVE SURVIVED??? THE COVER IS THE GREAT ORIGINAL UK EARLIEST 1ST PRESS THICK UNLAMINATED FOLD OUT COVER IN VG+++ to EX CONDITION, SEE PICTURES.

Indian Summer originated from Coventry in 1971 and are among the most underrated from early '70's heavy prog era  with a lot to offer  from keyboard driving interplay to soaring guitars and great vocal parts. When I discovered this band I was really impressed by their innovative structures and excellent musicianship. Just why they never hit the big time is a mind boggling thing. Indian Summer plays that typical early '70 heavy prog with long instrumental passages, keyboard versus guitar duels and a solid bass line over it. I really like this underrated album , it is among the best heavy prog I've heard from the early '70s, but they don't really sound like anyone else from that period. Any single piece stands as good as it gets from a heavy prog band without any boring moments. An absolutely great discovery for me and a great  album from golden era of prog. Recommended !!!!

PRESSED WITH THE FIRST ISSUE NEON LABELS. FIRST PRESS MOTHER STAMPERS. THIS ALBUM IS AN IMPOSSIBLE FIRST WEEK OF ISSUE.

THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE FIRST ISSUE MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE.

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps, pops or skips.  Very remarkable for this 1971 vinyl! The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provide a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later re-issue. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!

!!!!A VERY HARD FIND!!! Most have been bought up by collectors!! This is hardly offered these days as an original first press!!

Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .The audio is impeccable. Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

Vinyl: VG++ to EX.  A sensational find and just lightly played!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation on my very revealing Technics/Linn Sondek/ Rotel/ B&W system. Only two wispy hairlines on each side can be seen under a strong light source. One of them looks like a very thin scuff, but it is so thin and shallow that you cannot feel it. None of the wispy hairlines affect the audio in any way. Fantastic songcraft!! A personal favourite of mine and I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection. Outstanding audio delivery in all respects with a crystal clear, deep, rich, warm and detailed sound and on playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my LPs prior to listing and it's always an immense pleasure to return to this one) there is barely any surface noise. This is a beautifully clean pressing (and I must emphasise again how difficult it is to find a copy which plays this well). The whole LP sounds absolutely great and plays to a high standard with superb clarity, no groove-wear and no distortion and is very strictly graded a strong EX for audio without anything untoward, no static or crackle at all - great copy!! Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks.

Gatefold Sleeve: VG+ to EX.  A beautiful "Keef" matt gatefold sleeve which does have some storage wear evident on the top and bottom edges. The spine is 100% legible and has retained all colour.  There are no  creases and no tears or stickers. NO writing, no stains etc. The opening is just super crisp! This is an album that is rarely seen these days. The very last time I have come across this was on a record fair at least five years ago. I wonder if I will ever come across another copy now ...

***This is a unique prime investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!! This is  a great and seriously collectible super album!!  You will buy into a piece of  prog core history.***

Labels: NM!!! Unmarked, these are the very desirable Neon labels. No spindle traces. I doubt we will see this again this year or the next! This vinyl has indeed seen very little play. Please take a close look at the pictures!!

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!  PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST,  if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees  and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again!!

This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
