The excellent UK MOD band 'The In Crowd' only ever released three 45's in the UK, all three are now very rare but this 45 on offer here is the bands first and rarest and really is getting near impossible to find, the A-Side is musically excellent but the B-Side is a superb storming heavy sounding raw MOD/FREAKBEAT track.
This very rare original copy on offer here grades as good condition only but plays and sounds fine, both sides have a multitude of very minute hairlines and some small scuffs and mild scratches, it looks as though the record has been left out of it's paper sleeve at some point but this has done little to lesson the sound quality, there are no deep nasty marks so there are no really loud clicks or pops during play, there is surface crackle and a few tics at the run-ins and run-offs and some crackle when played but the tracks still sound great. The label to side one has a few storage scratch marks and a name lightly written in pencil, the label to side two has some light wear only. the parlophone company sleeve is in very good condition with no splits and just a tiny amount of blue biro in the top right corner.
If you collect original UK R&B, Mod, Freakbeat and psych 45's and the stranger and more obscure UK Beat & Pop-Sike releases from the mid to late 1960's then this very rare 1965 UK debut 45 by 'The In Crowd' would make a great addition to any collection.
