John Lee Hooker – I'm John Lee Hooker (12” LP)
John Lee Hooker (August 22, 1912 or 1917 - June 21, 2001) was an American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. The son of a sharecropper, he rose to prominence performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues that he developed in Detroit. Hooker often incorporated other elements, including talking blues and early North Mississippi hill country blues. He developed his own driving-rhythm boogie style, distinct from the 1930s-1940s piano-derived boogie-woogie. Hooker was ranked 35 in Rolling Stone's 2015 list of 100 greatest guitarists, and has been cited as one of the greatest male blues vocalists of all time.

Originally released in 1959 in the USA, this is the original 1960 French pressing. Mono.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2:  excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).

Cover (front laminated, flip-back): very good (the odd light laminate crease mainly around the edges, corner wear, the odd dirty mark and record indentation on back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record on its return.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  1730 (GS 9.9.4 (1730))
