ORIGINAL 1ST UK PRESSING PYE INTERNATION NSPL 28161
The Marvel World of Icarus’ is a mega rare ‘lost’ progressive gem from a big label (Pye International). It’s seldom seen or offered in its original LP form. I believe that it was withdrawn soon after its initial release due to a disagreement over royalties with Marvel Comics.
Musically, it is a fast moving prog-concept album about the different Marvel Comics characters; it has Blues and Jazz overtones and is a very enjoyable listen.
This LP itself is in great condition; a visual check reveals no scratches at all. There is no warping either there is creasing to the top right and bottom right corners of the outer sleeve.
