This is being sold out of the collection of the owner of the late 80's NY Record Store SOME RECORDS. The early punk/hardcore scene relied nearly exclusively on selling a bands recordings through cassette tapes. The band would make these cassettes themselves with a cover (and lyric sheet if necessary) and sell them to local stores and at shows to get their band's music into the public's hands. In NYC the only stores usually willing to sell these cassettes were BLEECKER BOB'S, VENUS RECORDS and SOME RECORDS. Duane from SOME RECORDS was a huge supporter of the mid to late 80's scene and carried 100's of different cassettes at the store as well as collecting them himself in the early 80's. The timeline of these cassettes is as follows. THE BAND to DUANE/SOME RECORDS to STORAGE FOR 20 YEARS to ME and hopefully to YOU. These are all 100% original recordings. If you are in one of these bands I am sure you could verify this. . Please ask questions as to authenticity if you have them.
