Original Italian pressing on the red and silver DERBY label (DB 5193), from 1968. Super obscure and holy grail Italian garage single featuring a killer example of the genre. The aggressive I CANNIBALI theme mixes up gritty rhythm and blues with early funk / garage punk / beat and rockabilly influences. Delirious and primitive sound with hypnotic voodoo rock rhythms / psychedelic mod organ / caveman screams / jungle sounds / rockabilly inspired guitar hooks / funky solos and drum breakdowns midway. Great for DJs. Booming production sound. Big record with Italian garage collectors who know it and hip partner to the I Cinque Monelli - Balbettando single. I CANNIBALI totally destroys the Brunetta e i Suoi Balubas - Baluba Shake anthem comped on Le Beat Bespoke 2. The UNA CHITARRA DIMENTICATA theme by Angel Pocho Gatti is also superb. Spaghetti western soundtrack influenced lounge with beat guitars / trumpet and organ. Our desirable promo issue has the elusive picture sleeve too. Never comes up for sale. Very rare 45!!!

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition overall with light scuffs and hairlines. Booming production sound. Some light surface noises. Promo sticker to both sides of label. The thin card picture sleeve is in strong VG+ condition overall with creasing / ring dirt marks / natural age discoloration and light wear from storage. Some middle spine wear. Old sticker, 1st layer tear mark to middle of back sleeve. Very rare 45!!!
