I Am Compilation album by various Released 1972 Recorded UK
I Am is a collaborative tribute concept album to Meher Baba featuring Pete Townshend, Michael Da Costa and others, first released in 1972. The album includes the original version of "Baba O'Riley" played by Townshend alone without lyrics, which, at 9:48, is almost twice as long as the augmented version which opens Who's Next. See picture 3 for song list.
I purchased this in 1977 direct from Meher Baba Information in Berkeley, CA.
The LP is in absolute mint condition. It came in a cardboard envelope with the "I AM" picture on 1 side and the shipping info on the other side. It also came with a 44 page 23"x18" newspaper. The newspaper was folded twice to fit into the envelope. It has the title "Wallpaper" and is filled with various pictures, info, lyrics, and song listing. This is a 40+ year old newspaper and is natuarally yellow ed and brittle even though I have kept it in the original envelope since I received it in September 1977. The LP has been played only 1 time on a Thorens turntable so that I could make a tape recording of the songs.

All the items I list are from my personal collection. Over the years I've acquired many music related pieces. The time has come to sell all the gems that I have acquired and kept in pristine condition over the years. Rather than keep these things unused in boxes or on shelves, I've realized that others could enjoy them and am offering them for sale.
