Description
CHESS LP 1434. MOANIN' IN THE MOONLIGHT. MONO. Original pressing with the black label and silver print. There was only one Howlin' Wolf. I love Muddy but he has to take a back seat to The Wolf. The front cover grades VG++ with just light general wear. The back cover grades VG+ with a name and number in red magic marker and a price code sticker at the upper right. There are no seam splits. There is no chipping on the spine. A visual grade of the record is a clean VG+ with a few light, superficial surface marks. The record retains nice gloss. A play grade of the record is VG++. There is some occasional background hiss which is more indicative of a 50's Chess pressing than wear. A sound clip of "Smokestack Lightnin'" has been provided. The sound quality that you hear in that clip is representative of what the rest of the album sounds like. Overall, this is a nice, clean, solid copy.

GRADING
M- or Near Mint - No visible flaws, full gloss. A top copy.
VG++ - Not quite near mint, but a nice desirable copy. Very minor wear.
VG+ -Shows signs of wear, but no serious defects.
VG -Obvious signs of wear but still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus -Moderate to heavy wear. OK if you need a filler copy.
G -Borders on unplayable, don't be bothered.
