Here is a record that has everything-great singing, great songs, a great orchestra, and a dazzling hot trumpet solo by Mike Mosiello (see Rust's Jazz Books).
The Victor Light Opera Group sing "Gems From Follow Thru" on 12" scroll label Victor 35970.
The Revelers Quartet start by singing Button Up Your Overcoat, followed by Belle Mann doing her rendition of the same tune. Tenor Lewis James then sings My Lucky Star.
A red hot trumpet solo follows, done by Mosiello to the tune of I Want To Be Bad, with Belle Mann then doing a vocal rendition of the same.
The side concludes with Edna Kellogg along with The Revelers who sing You Wouldn't Fool Me Would You.
This is a really enjoyable record, done in Liederkranz Hall in NYC on June 28, 1929.
On the reverse side, much the same personnel do "Gems From Hold Everything."
The record is in nice excellent to excellent-plus (E to E+) condition. There is a very light A side label spider crack, nowhere the grooves.
