Description

"Hot Jazz Classics - Bessie Smith" Set C-31 (album #4 in a series of re-issues of the original records that made jazz history)
Eight songs on four 78 rpm Columbia records featuring Bessie Smith, "Empress of the Blues"

All four records have been sound tested. Estimated to be in E- condition (very shiny with high luster and only a few light scratches) using the VJM Record Grading System. The third record (Sides 5 & 6) has a small chip along the lead-in that does not affect the record's playability (see last photo). All labels look very nice.
One of the paper sleeves has a 3.25" tear along the bottom edge (see photo). The album covers have some handling wear, mostly along the edges.
