Horace Silver and The Jazz Messengers BLUE NOTE BLP 1518 (USA) blue-white mono 47W 63rd label with deep groove - rec. on November 13, 1954 and February 6, 1955 and originally issued in 1956 - this is the 1959 issue - on trail off (dead wax) has printed 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder and has the 'ear' - no 'R' on label 1 only - on bottom back cover has the address 43W - has the original Blue Note inner sleeve Kenny Dorham : trumpet - Hank Mobley : tenor sax - Horace Silver : piano - Doug Watkins : bass - Art Blakey : drums Side 1 : Room 608 - Creepin' in - Stop time - To whom it may concern Side 2 : Hippy - The preacher - Hankerin' (H.Mobley) - Doodlin' All compositions by Horace Silver except as indicated Visual grading : record is EX to EX+ full lustre has minimal wear. Clean label with minimal spindle wear Playing grading : record is EX to EX+ plays very well with loud and clear sound. Has minimal occasional background noise Cover grading : cover is VG+ has light wear to corners. Has light rubbing on back cover.
