THE HOLLIES - 'IN THE HOLLIES STYLE'
1964 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
This superb NEAR MINT sounding UK 1st mono pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1235
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

A very fine clean & bright set with a collection of faint spindle marks around each centre hole but no other traces of wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
This extremely well looked after copy retains all of its deep-gloss, 'as new' looking surfaces which are completely undulled by improper storage or overplay. Just one or two light marks are visible in strong daylight consistent with careful handling and play but there are no major blemishes anywhere. Close examination directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveal nothing more than a sparkling rainbow gloss together with a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines but no further signs of wear either side.
Play: NEAR MINT
This wonderful sounding copy has recieved just some careful play on top-quality equipment. All tracks during my careful playcheck at volume sounded 'as new' with no evidence of any groove/play wear whatsoever or any clicks, ticks or any other such distraction. You won't be disappointed.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
Very difficult to believe that this cover is 45 years old. It appears here in virtually the same condition it left the shops in 1964, and has been carefully and correctly stored in non-smoking environment. The front panel is pristine with no scratching, damage or creasing to the high-gloss laminate. There is not even a single 'thumbnails' wrinkle anywhere. Its only blemish is some bruising to the upper two corners, but the opening edges are clean and sharp with just a handful of tiny 'pushes' to the rear edge. The rear panel is immaculate and white with no marks, writing or missing paper whatsoever. All flipbacks, seams and the spine are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with just a few unavoidable storage creases but no splits, tears or writing.
