Description

Fats Domino

A: Detroit City Blues/Hide Away Blues

B: She's My Baby/New Baby

Imperial EP 196 IMP 148 (as etched in runoff)

Vinyl VG+ / Sleeve VG++/NM-

An excellent example of the EP Here Stands Fats Domino. The stiff sleeve is in sincerely NM condition. A few very light scuffs on the front, light wear at the front corners - two small corner bends (from bumping)  evident when loking at the back at the rear top right and the rear lower left. There is a .75" soft crease in the lower front middle right and what is the very infant beginnings of a split at the bottom center.  I didn't notice it at first. One tiny dent in the opening edge at the rear left. A few minor scuffs on the back. The sleeve presents as very crisp and clean. The vinyl plays well, and looks good - there is a small strong scuff on the A-side which does not adversely affect play. However, there is also a tiny pressing flaw which creates about three loud pops. The B-side has a few feathery scratches. This item is really in excellent condition. VG+/NM

PLEASE NOTE: I have listened at least twice to all the 7” that I currently have at auction, and affirm that there are no skips. If there’s notable hissing or pops in the play, I’ve mentioned it. I won’t list anything that rates beneath “Good” unless it’s of exceptional rarity. I will not list anything as Mint, even if it is. Everything is Good to Near Mint. I will note when something is in the original sleeve and will include a photo. Anything else will arrive in a generic vintage sleeve that may include deejay notes and so forth.

Good/G = wear, scratching, scuffing, some gloss remains, good play, potentially some hiss and pop.

Very Good/VG = light scratches, light scuffs, good gloss, good play, potentially some hiss.

Near Mint/NM = virtually no scratches or scuffs, excellent play

SHIPPING will be $3.00 USPS First Class. I utilize proper sleeves and cardboard record mailers. I’m happy to ship internationally, but please ask me for a shipping quote. I’m also happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. Upon request, insurance and delivery confirmation are available to US customers at extra charge.

These 45s come from a collection accrued over decades in Central New York. Many are radio station copies. There are approximately one hundred 7” left, and I will be listing them over the next few weeks. Please check back in!
