Help! by the Beatles.
PMC 1255
XEX 549 2/550 2
UK mono early pressing from 1965 to the best of my knowledge. Labels have unusual TNR font.
Firstly, the record:
Visually very nice.
The labels show some forgivable spindle marks but not to a gruesome extent & are otherwise clean.
A couple of marks & surface scratches commensurate with very light use on either playing surface & but it generally looks pretty damn good for a 60 year old.
Play tested with no skips or jumps or much surface noise. The run ins are nice & quiet. Sounds deep & warm like a sixties mono copy should.
It's been professionally vacuum cleaned so it's nice & shiny. This has also optimised playback.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Clean, strong & unmolested with a decent spine.
Comes with original period Emitex inner which was seam split so I've patched up with acid free archive tape.
A really nice item at a good starting price.
