Albini's signature big drum sound gives the album a wide plot while non stop punishing riffs threaten to drive it right off a cliff. Lead single and hit heavy-alternative anthem "Unsung" was instrumental in shootingMeantimestraight to the top of the radio and MTV playlists helping it achieve Gold status along the way. Worldwide, it sold over two million copies and carved out a nice place for heavier music in the sea of grunge and alternative-rock clones of the era.
