Description

Heitor Villa-Lobos: Magnificat-Aleluia, Bachiana Brasileiras No. 4 Preludio and Quarteto No. 11. LP vinyl record on Festa Serie De Luxe, #IG 79.005 DL. Made in Brazil. The cover is an open sleeve with loose outer layer. Contains: "Magnificat-Alleluia" performed by Associacao De Canto Coral de Rio de Janeiro directed by Cleofe Person de Mattos, Coro Canarinhos de Petropolis and Orquestra Sinfonica Brasileira conducted by Edoardo De Guarnieri; "Bachianas Brasileiras No. 4: Preludio" performed by Orquesta de Camera de Radio Ministerio de Educacao e Cultura conducted by Roberto Schnorrenberg and "Quarteto No. 11" performed by Quarteto de Radio Ministerio de Educacao e Cultura. The record is in strong VG condition; cover is VG with wear, writing on front and some edge nicks.

  • We grade VISUALLY using a system similar to Goldmine. We DO NOT give MINT gradings. Our grading system is as follows:
SEALED - Still sealed, not opened. Any cover wear noted in description.
NEAR MINT (NM) - Looks like new (unplayed); no visible signs of wear or damage. A NM cover is free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind.
NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) - Record has very light sleeve or storage wear (which does not affect play). Most NM- records appear (or are known to be) unplayed. A NM- cover has only minimal signs of wear.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - A VG+ record will show very light marks that do not significantly affect one‘s listening experience. A VG+ cover has very minor wear.
VERY GOOD (VG) - The middle ground of record grading. Any visible blemishes will have minor affect on play quality. Light surface noise will be present (which does not overwhelm the overall listening experience). A VG cover will have more noticeable wear and/or small splits.
GOOD - The record has signs of use and wear. It plays through without skipping (with more significant surface noise). A Good cover has several flaws, which are noticeable, but do not obliterate the artwork.
FAIR - Record has significant damage that will affect the sound significantly. A Fair cover will have apparent damage that will be noticeable. Not recommended unless extremely rare.
Any cut-outs will be noted in addition to a grading. A “strong“ grading means the record appears (or is known to be) slightly better than average for its grading category.
