ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This handsome LP – a still-sealed copy – from RCA (AGL1-5873 / previously released as LSC-3256, US pressing, later iteration unknown – presumably red label, stereo) entitled "Heifetz Encores Volume 2" features one of the great violin bon-bon albums. With one exception, all of these arrangements, at turns charming and brilliant, were made by Heifetz himself. He is partnered throughout by pianist Brooks Smith, except in the final Tchaikovsky selection.

Incidentally, the wonderful cover art reproduces Al Hirschfeld's inimitable drawing of Heifetz.

There is tremendous personality and imagination behind the playing, with Heifetz on his most dazzling, and smiling, form. An essential part of any violin collection – wonderful!

CONDITION:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The condition of the still-sealed jacket is near-MINT. There is slight bumping at corners, but that is all. Otherwise, the album appears almost as new. There are no bends, seamsplits, owners' markings, other defects and the album remains very solid, bright, glossy, and extremely attractive in appearance – overall, a superlative collector's copy.

The condition of the LP itself is MINT. This is a still-sealed, pristine collector's copy.
