Back in the day, you might very well have been one of those aficionados of violin quite happy with your Nathan Milstein or Mischa Elman collections. But then, all at once, the game changed, dramatically.
Along came Jascha Heifetz; to this day, the man who set the benchmark that much higher, especially with the Beethoven Violin Sonatas, which you have before you now.
This is the original Rca release, a 5 record set that is predominantly first stampers (there’s a 2s and a 7s in here, too) that startled the world with its sensitivities and technique. All of the Beethoven, played as you have never heard before.
Box of this edition is without major travail (just minor shelf), all corners intact, while inside, the booklet is fine, and all 5 LPs will play very well indeed. Of the ten sides, there are only three short marks, the rest being quite clean.
In the annals of great LP sets, this one hails supreme.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
