💿 Heart – Magazine (1978) – Original Promotional Copy – Mushroom Records MRS-5008
Label: Mushroom Records
Catalog #: MRS-5008
Format: 12" Vinyl LP
Country: Canada
Released: 1978
Description:
Original 1978 promotional pressing of Heart – Magazine on the Mushroom Records label, featuring the classic Mushroom logo and “Promotional Copy – Not For Sale” printed on the label. This was a limited pre-release copy sent to radio stations and reviewers prior to the album’s full commercial launch.
Magazine includes standout tracks like “Heartless,” “Just the Wine,” “Without You,” and “Mother Earth Blues.”
This album holds a special place in Heart’s history — originally caught in a legal dispute between the band and Mushroom Records, making these promo pressings rarer and more collectible than later Portrait label issues.
Condition:
-
Vinyl: [insert grade – e.g., VG+, light surface marks, plays clean]
-
Jacket: [insert grade – e.g., VG, light ring wear and corner wear]
-
Labels: Clean with bold “Promotional Copy – Not For Sale” text and Mushroom logo
Notes:
Authentic Mushroom Records promotional copy (MRS-5008) — not a reissue. A great collector’s piece tied to one of rock’s most talked-about label disputes of the 1970s.
