This is a US vinyl pressing on Portrait 35555 from 1978.     This is a test pressing.     It comes in a plain white cover.    The record number abd the date ( 9/9/78 ) are written on the front at top left.

This album has their hits : 'Straight On', which reached #15 on 10/28/78 and 'Dog & Butterfly', which reached #34 on 3/17/79.

The matrix numbers are : Side one : PAL-35555-1L  and Side two : PBL-35555-1L .

The songs are : Cook With Fire, High Time, Hijinx, Straight On, Dog & Butterfly, Lighter Touch, Nada One, and Minstral Wind.

Why are test pressing so rare ??      A test pressing is the very first pressing of a record.    It's made so that the artist, producer, engineer, and record company executives can approve the record.    They are pressed in extremely limited numbers ( as few as 10, and never more than 50 ) and they are never repressed.    They are sent out to selected people before the cover and labels have been printed. 

Overall Condition :  Cover : M- / Record : M-

The cover is Mint minus.   There are no seam splits and there is no ring wear.    There is writing on the cover ( record number and date at top left and 'Heart' at top right ).    The vinyl looks mint and it plays near mint.  ( there are 2 pops before the music starts on side two )   The labels are white and say "Columbia Record Productions Santa Maria Test Pressing".     

I will package this record between two pieces of 1/2 inch thick cardboard.    ( It's so thick that you will save it and use again. )    It will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship.    You can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    It will be sent by First Class Mail International to overseas buyers.   ( Buyers from Italy will assume all risks for shipping to their country)   I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day of before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM )      I will combine postage if you win more than one record.     This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
