HAZEL YARWOOD CUT

Mothers/Stampers Side 1: GR @ 3 O'clock 2 @ 9 O'clock

Mothers/Stampers Side 2: R @ 3 O'clock 1 @ 9 O'clock

(Lovely early pressing of this increasingly rarer -5 matrix cut)

Vinyl:

150g HEAVYWEIGHT QUALITY

VG- (would grade as EX audio output if there weren't the two tiny skips on track 1)

Lovely shine and weight. There are light marks to the vinyl but they didn't make any difference to the MAJORITY of the audio playback..I did find two skips right at the end of track 1, which then followed with a handful of pops into track 2, a shame really but this is why she is priced as she is for a rarer Hazel Yarwood cut-with the rest of the album being full of rich audio output (I did notice some soft pops right at the end of Wait and just into the start of If I Needed Someone-nothing terrible at all).

This cutting is quite different from the 1/1 and 4 / 4 cuts.

For example-I noticed the harmonies were much more pronounced on What Goes On, as well as the gorgeous bass line on I’m Looking Through You, as well as a good number of other lovely new arrangements and little snippets not noticed on the -4 or -1 cuttings :)

FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN

A solid copy of the increasingly rarer -5/-5 'tube-cut' version.

I have included a clip of the soft Michelle-just to showcase the clarity and the depth of this much sought after Hazel Yarwood cut.

Labels:

VG+

There traces of just light spindle marks, visible when angled towards the light, with minimal wear to the central holes.

NO WRITING

Slimmer sans-serf text.

"The Gramophone Co..." rim text as well as "Sold In U.K." text.

Cover:

EX-

Starngely this cover has a much darker contrast in comparison to other prints from Garrod & Lofthouse..?..(I will include another Garrod sleeve-so you can see the difference)

Patents Pending. Shiny front cover...Just a few small crescents of spidering near the opening as well as a few small fingers of spidering emanating from the edges...that is all!!

VERY SOLID-WORTHY OF FRAMING

The corners are rubbed and slightly knocked.

The spine remaining perfectly intact, strong and legible.

NO SPLITS

There is a sweet dedication from 1965 to the top of the back card as well as a small amount of discolouration to the back card near the bottom right corner.

VERY strong-almost perfect- Garrod & Lofthouse flipbacks.

PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES PROVIDED AND CLICK ON ANY TO GET EVEN LARGER IMAGES AND FURTHER DETAIL.

VG-.

It is the Original Use Emitex inner, with the kind of tracing-paper lining.

"MADE IN ENGLAND"
