Description

This is the final box of a nine box set of Haydn's Symphonies. All were conducted by Antal Dorati at the Philharmonia Hungarica. These were pressed in London on the Decca Label in 1973. All the records, total of 46, have the FFSS logo on them for Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound. The labels are a light blue with an outline of Haydn on them with the symphony info. This appears to be the European sister company to London as some of their earlier and rarer rock albums have this designation on them, or the FFRR on the mono copies, as in Rolling Stones. Each box has four to six records in it with a corresponding booklet outlining the titles and some of the when, where, how and time of Haydn's life this music was written. All records have their own original equipment plastic lined audiophile inner sleeve. Most are in stunning fine shape, a few have some glue failure issues only. There are no rips or tears on any anywhere. All the booklets are fully intact with no rips or tears. All 46 records are just amazing. There are some small 1/2 inch hairlines, almost a scratch on maybe 4 or 5 records, that is the worst. Every single one has full shine, that rainbow tone, brighter than even some new, current pressing I own. The inner sleeves are of the highest quality and have done their job excellently. These are all made in England by Decca. The Decca Record Company Limited. Decca House, 9 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7SW. I am listing these box sets separately as there are 104 symphonies total' it's just a lot of music to sell in one group.  All boxes have cloth hinges and are in excellent condition. Following are the details on the box for this auction.

This box has six records, virtually pristine. This is the only booklet that is white paper, not the parchment type of the other eight. The records were also made in 1974, as per the label. Labels the same as the others, just 1974.
