Description

An original 1st press of DOREMI on UK UA label. Matrix A2/B2. Etching "Porky/Pecko'. The vinyl comes housed in an original foil cover. We also have the original bespoke inner sleeve and a generic white from the time. The poster is PRESENT..yay! So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side, one very superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. An absolute corker of a copy - very clean signalled. Can't fault it - and you're not going to be bettering this rendition any time soon. I tend to find a lot of Hawkwind has been to many a party [which is to be expected!]. But in reality a collector is going to want the definitive cut - and I'm pleased to be able to offer this copy to market to satisfy the most ardent Hawkwind fan. Plays really clean into the quieter acoustic sectors and slow builds. I couldn't really make out any background at all - highly unusual. At worst a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side [e.g. late on side 2]. The LP plays near perfect throughout. To be frank - this could well be the best Hawkwind record I've EVER heard. And you can forget going any better on the audio front.
Cover (Vg+) Difficult to find in really neat condition because of the foil design which has super tendency to wear!. Wear is visible a bit on the front side - but better looking than many examples. The rear is looking pretty damn neat in my opinion. Not much creasing. Slight edge wear - nothing unseemly. The spine is 95% intact and the openings nice and firm. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Poster (Ex-) Never been on a wall! Now, that is really unusual. Slightest faint ageing in a couple of spots. A seriously good looking copy.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. A rip at the opening - 1 inch - tape repaired.
