Description

Hello and thanks for stopping by my auctions!

I have spot checked all discs here on my system, a transcription professional turntable using a KAB Souvenir equalizer and a 2.8 mil truncated elliptical stylus.  Please remember you may have different results on your equipment, depending on what you are playing these on.

Stay tuned for MORE great 78s coming soon as the cooler weather approaches here, I've been thinning out my collection and will be offering lots of interesting discs in the future.

Offered today will be a few issues on the New Music Recordings label.  This and all of the others were found many years ago in a load of unsold stock from a New York music store and have never seen play.  That said, they were stored for decades in boxes in the original plain brown sleeves which had pretty much fallen apart.  Each of these discs has been properly cleaned using "The Disc Doctor" materials on a professional cleaning machine and the sleeves have been replaced with ones that are not crumbling.  Keep in mind that even though these are basically "new", there may be a light paper scuff or pressing bump inherent.  Anything above and beyond the aforementioned will be specifically noted here, but I assure you, these are super clean and about as nice as you can expect to find!  Pressed by Musicraft sometime in the 1940s (does anyone know exactly when?), these discs offered unusual content by then "modern" composers, many playing their own pieces.

For this auction, we have NMR 1613 (NMR 1 / 2) Harrison Kerr:  "Trio For Clarinet Violoncello and Piano" played by Aaron Gorodner (clarinet), Margaret Aue (violoncello) and Josef Wagner (piano) complete on two sides.  This appears to be some type of a heavy vinyl type pressing.   Condition is as new, but we'll call it a nice E+, it plays just great.  Please note, this is another NOS copy of the same disc I sold a few weeks back, check my recent feedback to see how happy the last buyers of these were!

Shipping is $4 in the USA for up to three 78s, add 50 cents for each additional disc over three.  International postage is higher and at cost to the buyer.  Insurance is totally optional for the buyer, I pack well and have never had a disc arrive damaged, but the PO isn't always gentle!  I have been collecting and selling 78s for over 20 years now, so you have no worries about poor packing here.  Please DO check my feedback and bid with confidence!  Now for a word about feedback, PLEASE contact me if you have any issues with your purchases, I promise your satisfaction, period.  As always, thank you for looking and GOOD LUCK!!!

Record Grading Chart:

N- (or NM or M-): Store Stock NEW (a rare grade to use!)

E+: Looks almost new, maybe a tiny paper scratch from sleeve, never any wear; a choice copy

E: Excellent. Perhaps a light scuff or scratch but never anything serious. Still no wear.

E-: Still excellent, but maybe one or two more traces of above use and perhaps a couple more light scratches.

V+: Obvious use and maybe a bit of wear, still a decent copy, but was enjoyed by the prior owner(s). Maybe gray grooves, but they should be noted.

V: As above, but wear noticeable, scratches and scuffing should be expected to affect play.

V-: Noise and wear, scratches etc will be almost as loud as the music, won't look pretty.

F or P: Wiped out, period, may not be playable.
