1981 King 2nd LP issue, complete with OBI and paper insert
What is this copy:
1981 King 2nd issue of Hank Mobley's unreleased session with Sonny Clark (First issue was King GXF-3066 in 1979 or 1980). This GXK-8163 was one of the “Blue Note Worldwide First Appearance” series (GXK-8151 thru GXK-8170), renumbered 2nd issue of 20 unreleased titles (originally released as from GXF-3051 to GXF-3073) chosen for Japan market. All titles of this series are extremely rare and very hard to find even in Japan. Japan King LPs, not only Blue Note reissues but also other labels' reissues, are sought after for high fidelity pressings with courteous respects for original issues.
What's inside this LP:
Hank Mobley's yet another supreme unreleased session at the time, recorded on October 20, 1957, just between “Hank Mobley” (BLP-1568) and “Peckin' Time” (BLP-1574). All the gorgeous members plays so refreshing. Especially, Sonny Clark's bluesy and emotional piano improvisations are great. Members consists of Art Farmer (tp), Hank Mobley (ts), Pepper Adams (bs), Sonny Clark (p), Paul Chambers (b) and Philly Joe Jones (ds).

Condition of this copy:
Cover: NM-.
Light discolouration on the top seam (see the photo), and very light corner dents on the right side (also see the photo). But except such minor defects, this copy is very clean and beautiful. Don't miss the occasion to get the beautiful copy.
Disc: NM- or even mint.
Both sides of the label don't even have a spindle marks. Virtually unplayed. Before I list this copy, I played this copy through from the first track of A-1 to the last track of B-2, and confirmed this copy sounds so clean and beautiful. Great copy indeed.
Paper insert: NM-.
Detailed liner-notes (in Japanese) are printed on it.
OBI (a paper strap which is common in Japanese releases): NM- with light discolouration on the top seam.
