Description

For sale is a true first pressing of Hank Mobley and His All Stars. This is classic Hank Mobley during his peak. It’s a truly a wonderful set of music. I can’t imagine many copies of this 1957 pressing are out there.


Record grade: VG-

The record has several visible surface scratches and marks, none can be felt with a fingernail. Record plays quite nicely, with some surface noise, still a very enjoyable listen.


Cover: VG

Some staining on the back cover (pictured). Front shows signs of wear. Spine is intact, shows wear. There is one split on the bottom of the jacket (pictured).



The 1st original mono issue has:

- blue and white Blue Note Records - 47 West 63rd - New York 23 address on deep grooved labels (no "Inc" no ®),

- RVG etched and P (wrongly called "ear") for Plastylite plant in the dead wax, both sides,

- Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address on back-cover (no "Inc."),

- framed non laminated cover,
