HYSTERICAL TRIO (SONNY WITH GIL & HAWK) - PASADENA RECORDERS # SC-336 - PRIVATE PRESSING - MONO LP - 1960'S ?...

The record has been played and it does have some scuffs (but nothing deep)... Both sides might play thru with some surface noise but no skips... We'd grade the overall condition of the record as VG....

This LP comes with a generic plain black LP jacket...  No cover with artwork is included" as it may not exist...

Virtually nothing is known about this band...  There is no mention of them in Vernon Joynson's "Fuzz, acid, & flowers" or in Acid Archives...   

Cannot "date" the album but it appears to have come out of the mid-late 60's as some of the tunes are cover versions from this period...

Phone numbers on the label have no prefix  (793-7776 and 681-9258)...

Album may have been recorded somewhere in the high desert of Southern California (Hesperia, Victorville, Blythe, and Moreno Valley)....

Titles are : "under your spell again, shake and finger pop, what i say, movin' on, can't sit down, excuse me i think i have a heart ache, shotgun, i need you baby, fannie mae, land of a thousand dances"..

Vocals and playing are very raw and gritty, amateurish and "off key" in spots... (sorry can't provide sound bytes)... 

If I had to describe them, I would say they could be a male version of "The Shaggs"...

May have been a one shot deal by three unsigned guys who just wanted to record an album and went to an independent studio to record it (Pasadena Recorders)...

We had another album by them which was similar in content (yellow vinyl and on same label) and it went for considerably more than our minimum bid here...
